PROBLEMS FOR ENGLAND

England manager Roy Hodgson will have a lot of problems in the match against Moldova and Ukraine due to the lack of fitness for a number of key players like Ashley Young. The Manchester United midfielder will be coming into the match against Moldova not having the best of pre-season, which has meant that he has not been at his best in the opening two matches.

He recently sustained an injury against Fulham and there has been a lot of question marks about the fitness of the players called up for the match against Moldova. The Chelsea defender John Terry has been included in the squad as well, despite the fact that he has not played for a week now due to the neck injury.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has said that he thinks that the international career for the defender Rio Ferdinand is all but over. The Manchester United defender was not selected by England manager Roy Hodgson as part of the squad for the Euro 2012.

Many thought that it was a selection made due to the controversial presence of John Terry in the squad. However, at 33 years of age, Ferguson reckons that the former Liverpool manager decided to omit Rio Ferdinand from the squad due to his age concerns. Ferguson has also said that he is not expect Rio Ferdinand to be picked for the upcoming 2014 World Cup qualifiers. The latest Football betting odds agree with Sir Alex.

CAPELLO WOULD HAVE DONE BETTER

The former England manager Fabio Capello has said that he would have been a much better job with the England national side had he been the manager of the team at the Euro 2012, according to the Chelsea news website.

Fabio Capello helped England reached the quarter-finals of the World Cup when they were knocked out by an incredible German team.

This time around, England lost at the hands of Italy, who reached the final of the competition. The Italian resigned from his job a few months prior to the start of the Euro 2012 after falling out with the England football Association over the John Terry issue.

JAGIELKA INCLUDED IN SQUAD

The English Football Association has confirmed that they have included Everton midfielder Phil Jagielka, who can also play in the defence, as a replacement for Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry, who has been ruled out for the competition after suffering an injury in the friendly against Norway recently.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been relieved of some of the stress concerning Wayne Rooney after it was revealed that the England striker will not qualify for the London Olympics if he is picked up by the England national team for the Euro 2012.

He has played some wonderful matches in Liverpool, but has only really returned to his very best now that he is playing in France. He recently Cole scored a hatrick in the Coupe de France - the first of his career.

Cole has put in some great performances after coming to Lille, and is one of the team's most important players. He said that he is enjoying his football career in France, with his family settling in well in France too.

NORWICH FACE WEST BROM

Norwich City will travel to The Hawthorns to face fellow English Premier League club West Bromwich Albion after the two sides were drawn to face each other in the 4th round of the prestigious FA Cup.

This means that The Canaries will face The Baggies twice in the month of January, with one match being in the English Premier League, which is scheduled to be held next Saturday.

The League match between the two sides was originally slated to be held in February but a Premier League rescheduling meant that the fixture was brought forward by a couple of weeks to January.
